Weeds? Okay, so it really annoys me when I hear people call unknown plants weeds just because they don't know the identity! It's saying that the poor plant is useless and a total waste of life, no matter what virtuous properties the plant may actually possess. People who call unknown plants "weeds" are showing their own ignorance. Many so-called "weeds" can be very useful, not to mention lovely. Plants like Oxalis (my favorite) and Dandelion. Think about it. Would anyone ever refer to an unknown person the way they do to unknown plants? Would someone say, "Oh, I don't know who that is, and they don't really belong here, so they must be useless and a waste of life!" Have some respect for life, people. Plants might not have souls or spirits, but God did create them to grow and to multiply, and to strive for life. Respect that, please. (And respect the animals, too, even more so.) Don't destroy life without a cause. Be just in your dominion of the earth. Just, merciful, full of grace and truth. You are the gardener of the globe. Creation is your dependent, every living thing your subject (both in your absence and in your presence). Be a righteous ruler. |
